Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
Nitrous oxide is inhaled through a mask placed over the mouth and nose. The medication calms patients while allowing them to remain awake and able to communicate. Nitrous Oxide can help to lessen anxiety, increase pain threshold, reduce gag reflex and make time pass more quickly.
Oral Sedation
Oral sedatives come in the form of pills or liquids prescribed by your dentist. This medication is taken orally in advance of your dental appointment to help you arrive at our office free from anxiety. With oral sedation, you will remain awake throughout your dental procedure but remain calm and relaxed.
